The Kilt Behind the Curtain

Ant Press is very much enjoying working with author Ronald Mackay on his coming memoir, The Kilt Behind the Curtain.

With candour and a touch of humour, Ronald Mackay gives a first-hand account of what life was like in Romania in the 1960s. Communist dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu ran every aspect of the state with the help of his notorious secret police, but Ronald devised ways of foiling them!

Packed with anecdotes and the author’s own photographs, this book will be a fascinating read.

Country skills were valued in the ’60s. Here, the shingle-maker is hard at work.
