Introducing new author, Richard Witte

Ant Press is delighted to be helping Richard Witte produce and publish his memoir “Windmills to Submarines: Memories of a Small-Town Texas Kid 1938-1958”.

We have been enjoying ourselves working with Richard Witte, his wife Jerrie, and his two daughters, Sarah and Madonna, to produce a memoir which describes Dick’s childhood and coming of age in Texas.

Richard (Dick) Witte grew up in coastal south Texas as an outside kid. He joined the Navy, married his high school sweetheart, had three great kids and played the cat-and-mouse game of cold war submariner for over twenty years. Dick got hooked on learning and received a PhD, retiring as a professor in 2004. Now he spends time with family, writes to celebrate life and escapes with his wife to sand and salt water whenever possible.

The book is finished and we are just polishing the formatting for paperback, ebook and large print editions. The cover is designed and we are looking forward to publishing WINDMILLS TO SUBMARINES.

Victoria Twead hides behind her ‘old fool’ soubriquet when in fact she is the most professional ebook publisher you could wish for. Most of my 25 or so books have been first published conventionally, but now we must embrace the e-reader, and the best way to do it is through Victoria and Ant Press.
